A familiar scene: i'm working away on something and at some stage it turns into something completely different - which is what happened yesterday. A bangle became a Christmas decoration about half way through.
I had this picture in my head for months and when I created the bracelet I thought to myself 'as a bracelet i'm not keen on it but what if I add this and that? the shape resembles that picture in my head!'
It may well be something most crafters and artists can relate to. How often have you started a painting with one picture in your head then ended up with something very different?
Although usually the designs alter in my case, I don't often end up with an entirely different product!
